Corkhole - The Lawn Game By Corkaine

Corkhole

The lawn game cornhole just got an upgrade! The object of Corkaine's version of Corkhole is to score points by shooting your team's corks into the two cups (gold cup or silver cup) on the gameboard and onto the gameboard itself. The first team to score 21 or more points using the cancellation scoring method wins the game.

Cornhole - How To Play the Corkaine Style Cornhole

GAME SETUP: Divide into 2 teams (1-2 players per team) and choose a cork color for your team. Each team will get 5 corks. Next, place the cups on the board according to the pattern shown in the top left corner. Teams will stand approximately 6 steps back (one person measures using the heel to toe technique) from the Corkaine gameboard on the same side and place down their spot markers to mark their shooting distance. Gameplay begins after one quick round of paper-rock-scissors to determine which team goes first.

GAMEPLAY: Teams take turns shooting their corks, one at a time, at the cups on the gameboard. Once all of the corks have been shot by both teams, the round ends and both teams approach the gameboard to calculate their points. For each cork that makes it inside of a cup or makes it onto the gameboard, it scores points (see the points graphic on the top right for point totals). These points are then totaled up by both teams and the team who has the most points wins the round. However, the winning team must subtract the losing team's total points (cancellation scoring) to come up with the winning team's awarded points for the round. Once these awarded points have been established, all of the corks are gathered up by both teams and a new round begins. Rounds of gameplay continue until one team scores 21 or more awarded points to win the game.
